The Secret Service reported a 40% increase in investigations into threats directed at its protectees this year, with over 10,000 cases – more than double the number from last year.
This surge in threats comes as the agency prepares for the rescheduled White House Correspondents' Association dinner, which will feature "significantly enhanced safety measures and new access procedures.
